The Senior Contract Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of assigned contracts or clients, serving as the main liaison between Freight Mark and client sites on operational and commercial matters. This role involves monitoring and reporting KPIs, operational, and financial performance for regular reviews, leading and developing team members to achieve business goals, and ensuring effective Profit & Loss management within the approved budget.

Key Activities / Accountabilities:-

  • Oversee overall contract operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, and compliance with company standards.
  • Plan and implement operational strategies to achieve business goals.
  • Meet budget targets and maximize profit margins.
  • Lead and develop team members through performance appraisals and identification of skill gaps.
  • Work with the Training & Development Department to design relevant training programs.
  • Ensure all operational deadlines, reports, and KPIs are achieved as required.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, security, and cleanliness guidelines in all work areas.
  • Monitor departmental performance and implement improvements when necessary.
  • Ensure customer requirements and contingency needs are met effectively.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external customers.
  • Conduct fair and objective staff appraisals.
  • Ensure subordinates perform their duties to meet required expectations and take corrective actions when needed.
  • Provide regular performance updates and monthly commentary to management.
  • Formulate the annual financial budget in collaboration with the Finance Department.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior.

Preferred Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the logistics industry.
  • Strong experience and knowledge in inventory management.
  • Broad understanding of warehousing, distribution, and forwarding operations.
  • Well-versed with OHSA, ISO, 5S, GMP/GSP, and other relevant standards, with the ability to interpret and apply these requirements effectively.
  • Proven ability to design and implement efficient operational processes and re-engineer them as business needs evolve.
  • Competent in managing human resource matters within the assigned team.
  • Proficient in using Transport Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Forwarding Management Systems (FMS).

Working Hours:

1500hrs - 2300hrs

Port Tanjung Lepas, Johor.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to RM13,000.00 per month
