QA/QC Engineer (M&E)

Job Summary

The QA/QC Engineer (M&E) is responsible for implementing and managing Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) quality assurance and quality control systems at the data center construction site. This role ensures that all M&E works are executed in accordance with design specifications, project requirements, industry standards, and client expectations, with a strong focus on reliability, safety, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain M&E QA/QC procedures specific to data center construction projects.
• Supervise and lead the QA/QC M&E team to ensure installation quality across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing systems.
• Conduct inspections and testing of M&E installations, including high-voltage systems, UPS, generators, chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, and BMS controls.
• Review method statements, ITPs, test reports, and material submittals to ensure compliance with project and client specifications.
• Perform daily site inspections and audits to identify non-conformities, recommend corrective actions, and verify proper rectifications.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and regulatory authorities on inspections, testing, and quality compliance.
• Support and participate in FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), SAT (Site Acceptance Test), and commissioning activities for critical M&E systems.
• Prepare and maintain accurate QA/QC documentation, including test records, calibration certificates, and quality reports.
• Compile monthly QA/QC performance reports for management review.
• Promote quality awareness and best practices among site teams and subcontractors.
• Ensure all M&E works adhere to safety and environmental standards relevant to data center construction.
