QAQC Engineer

Job Summary:

The QAQC Engineer is responsible for inspecting fabricated components and welded assemblies to ensure they meet the company's quality standards and customer specifications. The role requires accuracy in measurement, documentation, and collaboration with the fabrication team to uphold quality standards and continuous improvement.

1. Material & Component Inspection

• Inspect quality of incoming raw materials and purchased components upon receipt.
• Verify compliance against drawings, specifications, and material certifications.

2. In-Process & Final Product Quality Check

• Perform in-process inspections during fabrication to ensure adherence to standards.
• Conduct final inspections before delivery or assembly.

3. Dimensional & Welding Inspection

• Measure critical dimensions using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Inspect and evaluate welding quality based on visual standards and welding specifications.

4. Testing & Validation

• Carry out Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) as per procedures and customer requirements.
• Document test results and ensure product readiness for delivery.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCR), and FAT documentation.
• Maintain accurate and traceable QC records for internal and customer audits.

6. Tool & Equipment Management

• Ensure measuring instruments and QC tools are properly maintained and calibrated on time.
• Keep calibration records up to date and follow up on calibration schedules.

7. Team Collaboration & Support

• Coordinate with the fabrication, engineering, and production teams to resolve quality issues.
• Support continuous improvement and compliance with ISO 9001 and internal quality systems

• At least Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related technical field.
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in quality control, preferably in fabrication or metalworking environments.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Skilled in using precision measurement tools and basic welding inspection techniques.
• Familiar with Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) processes and documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting and documentation tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
