Trade Compliance Manager Job Opening for a Market Leader in the Chemical Manufacturing Industry

Your new company

A world market leader in the chemical manufacturing industry with an internationally renowned Shared Service Centre (SSC) based in Kuala Lumpur. Due to rapid expansion, they are looking for a Trade Compliance Manager to be part of the team that is responsible for running all related functions across the APAC region and globally.

Your new role

  • Develop a standard for Trade Compliance in the area of Responsible Supply Chain
  • Take ownership of your assigned cluster
  • Create and implement compliance concepts tailored to all relevant legal entities within your scope.
  • Ensure coverage of all applicable legal requirements related to trade restrictions.
  • Establish and apply necessary instruments to monitor, control, and manage relevant trade restrictions effectively.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Analytical and conceptual thinking - able to read and interpret regulations and conceptualise them into requirements, high critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Min 8 years of relevant professional and project experience, preferably in the field of foreign trade or compliance.
  • Project management experience
  • Business experience
