Sarawak Children's Cancer Society (SCCS) is a non-profit organization founded in 1999 by parents of children with cancer to provide care and support for children and families battling childhood cancer in Sarawak. SCCS offers essential services, including financial and medical aid, accommodation, food, emotional support, recreational activities, and education for children and their families. Since 2001, SCCS has supported more than 1,500 families in their cancer-fighting journey.

Role Description

As a Marketing Communications Executive, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the communication efforts of our Society. Your responsibilities include implementing communication strategies, crafting standardised messaging and ensuring consistent internal and external communication with our stakeholders. This role demands a strong communicator with excellent writing skills, a keen understanding of the various communication channels, and the ability to work cohesively with other departments.

Requirements

1) Preferably a Bachelor's Degree holder in Public Relations, Mass Communications, Journalism or a related field.

2) At least 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience in PR, Media, and Creative Agency field.

3) Excellent written and spoken English and Mandarin ( fluency in dialects and Malay are added advantages)

4) MS Power Point, presentation skills, press releases/advertisement/articles writing and social media management

5) A team player, able to work independently, possess strong executional abilities and problem-solving skills, is highly meticulous, performance-driven and has strong work ethics

6) Able to work under pressure with good interpersonal skills

7) Ability to travel for work assignments within or outside of the region

8) Possess own transport
