Introduction:

Our Company is in the business of producing flexible packaging material to meet precise specifications of customers, in both roll and pouch / bag form. We produce flexible packaging material for applications in food, medical, pharmaceutical and other household items. As such, we hold a stringent operating model in compliance with our Food Safety and Quality Standards. (FSSC 22000, GMP, ISO 9001)

We are looking for senior QA/QC team leaders with experience, sharp attention to details, passion for learning about different production and checking processes, dealing with customers and suppliers, lab testing, data analysis and documentation / administration. Most importantly, we are looking for individuals to be part of our key management team.

Requirements:

  • Quality Assurance or Quality Control / Monitoring experience or background
  • Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English (speaking and writing)
  • Experience in Flexible Packaging Industry
  • Hardworking, willing to learn and adapt, constant improvement mindset and positive work attitude
  • Desire to improve existing processes and create new procedures to make their work more efficient and effective
  • Working on-site at production area and floor, while having interest in lab / data analysis
  • Keen to take up managerial responsibilities, caring for their department while also engaging with customers and suppliers. They must also be able to conduct internal investigations independent of any conflict and manage departments accordingly.
  • Some knowledge of Food Safety or Product Safety (food, medical packaging) and Quality Management Systems (FSSC 22000, GMP, ISO 9001)

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out and supervising on the quality control and assurance functions of the Company
  • To assist in establishing and maintaining procedures and quality controls to ensure independent quality checking is being carried out in the production process (from raw material receiving to finished goods packing)
  • To assist in oversight / monitoring activities along the production process (on-site) and supervise / support junior process checkers and clerks in their daily tasks / duties
  • To participate in problem solving activities in relation to attending customer complaints, supplier or raw material defects, as well as new R&D or process improvement projects
  • To work closely with various internal departments including sales, production, production planning, and facility management / maintenance
  • To conduct supplier audits or attend to customer surveys / audits as and when neccessary
  • To assist in writing validation reports, investigative reports or supplier reports and other documents where neccessary
  • To maintain good housekeeping and safety in the work area
  • To assist in the maintenance, upgrade and implementation of the company's Food Safety & Quality Management systems and to ensure procedures are being followed by department and relevant areas within jurisdiction (including HACCP, Product Safety & Quality Control Procedures)
  • Any other duties as assigned by superior / Head of Department / General Manager

Salary & Remuneration:

  • Market rate, subject to applied position, years of relevant work experience, knowledge and understanding, amongst other qualifications mentioned above
