Main responsibilities:

To assist the Head of Department (HOD) in the preparation and administration of pre- and post- contract works, as well as any other matters related to contract administration.

Tasks:

  1. Execute activities in the Contract Department in line with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

  2. Update individual Key Performance Indicators (KPI) on a monthly basis.

  3. Prepare the Monthly Department Report.

  4. Update department activities and maintain the activity tracker; liaise with the Manager, finalize updates and report to the Manager on a monthly basis.

  5. Participate in the preparation of Bills of Quantities using MSCESMM and check, vet and review Bills of Quantities for all Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad (PAAB) projects to be tendered.

  6. Review the preparation of tender and contract documents and liaise with consultants and other related divisions.

  7. Check and process interim payments to contractors and consultants to ensure finalization and recommendation within the timeline set in PAAB's Corporate KPI, including attendance during site evaluations.

  8. Check and review variation order papers, prepare variation accounts and ensure valuations of variations are finalized within six (6) months after the issuance of the Certificate of Practical Completion (CPC).

  9. Check, review and process all contractual certificates such as extensions of time, partial/section completions, non-completion and completion certificates, CPC and Defects Making Good Certificates, ensuring compliance with the Conditions of Contract.

  10. Assist the HOD in verifying, checking, reviewing and processing all contractual claims for the projects.

  11. Check, review, process and ensure that the Statement of Final Account for each project is finalized within three (3) months after the issuance of the Certificate of Making Good Defects (CMGD).

  12. Attend all related meetings with the Manager and/or Assistant Manager, including site and technical meetings, contribute input on contractual and costing matters, and provide updates to the HOD after meetings.

  13. Serve as a member of the Commercial Evaluation Committee (CEC) from time to time in accordance with the Procurement Manual and endorse CEC reports as required.

  14. Perform other duties as assigned by Management and/or the immediate superior from time to time.

Requirements:

 Recognized Degree in a related field;

 At least 1 year experience in Construction.

 Proficiency in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia is required;

 Excellent report writing and presentation skills are essential;

 Able to work as a team, soft spoken and willing to learn from senior officer;

 The candidate should be creative and energetic;

 Being self-motivated, analytical, resourceful and having strong integrity are important qualities; and

 A good working attitude and willingness to travel are expected.
