About the role

Yu Ga Lok' is seeking a friendly and customer-focused Cashier to join our retail team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing sales transactions, and maintaining a tidy and organised checkout area. This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

What you'll be doing

  1. Greeting and assisting customers with checkout and payment processes
  2. Accurately operating the cash register and handling cash and other payment methods
  3. Keeping the checkout area clean, well-stocked, and organised
  4. Answering customer inquiries and providing information about products and services
  5. Adhering to company policies and procedures to ensure a positive customer experience
  6. Collaborating with the retail team to maintain store presentation and cleanliness

What we're looking for

  1. Previous experience as a Cashier or in a customer service role
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  3. Excellent math skills and attention to detail
  4. Ability to work efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  5. A friendly and professional demeanour with a commitment to providing great customer service
  6. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
