veterinarian assistant

To assist the veterinarian in all duties in regards of safeguarding the health of the animals within the park. Maintaining the clinic and its facilities to its optimum condition and sanitization.

A) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Inspection of animals and animal facilities of the clinic ward, housekeeping and maintaining optimum sanitization.

2. Updating on "patient" daily progress form and other health/medical records.

3. Assisting the veterinarian in providing medical attention and care to diseased or traumatized animals, including restraining and administration of medication orally and topically.

4. Assisting the veterinarian in conducting preventative care, husbandry and management programme for all animals.

5. Assisting the veterinarian in performing diagnostic workout, sampling procedures, surgery and post-operative care.

B) REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: -

• Minimal SPM/O-Levels/ Diploma Sains Haiwan / Teknologi Veterinar / Diploma Pertanian / Akuakultur / Bioteknologi / Diploma Kesihatan Haiwan or other equivalent qualifications.
• Competent in writing and communicating in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Basic knowledge about animal care, husbandry, clinic equipment and facilities.
• Innovative and motivated to improve wildlife healthcare and husbandry.
• Sympathy for animal welfare and care.

C) OTHER REQUIREMENTS (if any):-

• Able to work under minimum supervision, takes initiatives and able to work under pressure.
• Ability to deal with problematic and/or difficult people and/or situations.

Working Hours & Off Day

• Working Days: Wednesday to Monday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Off Day: Every Tuesday
• Lunch and beverages are provided

• Salary will be based on work experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1, RM2,100.00 per month
