Job Description

  • Assist superior in managing daily purchasing operations, including import purchases, sourcing of steel materials, price negotiations, and delivery follow-up.
  • Ensure all materials are procured in accordance with the required specifications and purchase order (PO) terms.
  • Monitor supplier delivery schedules to ensure goods are received on time, at the agreed price, and according to specifications.
  • Oversee and coordinate import purchase activities.
  • Conduct regular price reviews for purchased materials and goods.
  • Prepare purchase orders (POs) and handle related correspondence.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments and external suppliers on all purchasing and sourcing matters.
  • Track and manage inventory levels and delivery status to support smooth operations.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support to the sales department.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior from time to time.

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, or Degree in any discipline.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer literate and proficient in basic office applications.
  • Must possess own transport.
  • Able to commence work immediately; candidates with experience in the steel industry will have an added advantage.
  • Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
