The Senior Engineer is responsible for leading, managing, and supervising all technical and operational aspects of engineering projects — from planning and design to implementation and completion. This position requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, project management, and leadership skills to ensure high-quality, safe, and cost-effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and design documents.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to determine technical requirements.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams for project execution.
  • Ensure all designs, materials, and works comply with engineering standards, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical solutions and recommendations to resolve design or construction issues.
  • Oversee site operations and monitor progress to ensure quality assurance and adherence to project timelines.
  • Perform inspections and prepare detailed technical reports on project status and compliance.
  • Supervise, train, and guide junior engineers, technicians, and site staff.
  • Review and validate technical drawings prepared by junior engineers.
  • Foster teamwork and encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team.
  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and material take-offs.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Manage procurement processes and verify material specifications before approval.
  • Prepare engineering documentation including method statements, progress reports, and technical evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate project records and ensure proper document control.
  • Present updates and reports to management and clients periodically.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (depending on specialization).
  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in project management or engineering operations.
  • Registered with BEM (Board of Engineers Malaysia) is an added advantage.
  • Experience in supervising construction / M&E / infrastructure projects.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, or related design & project management software.

  • May require overtime or weekend work depending on project schedules.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM4, RM6,000.00 per month
