Logistics Supervisor

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily logistics operations, ensuring the smooth flow of materials, equipment, and supplies to meet project requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and transporters to arrange deliveries and shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation.
- Ensure that all logistical activities are aligned with the operational schedules and deadlines of the oil and gas industry.
- Monitor stock levels and manage inventory controls to ensure the availability of required materials and supplies.
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of logistics-related documentation, including shipping documents, customs clearances, and import/export permits.
- Maintain compliance with all local and international logistics regulations and customs laws, particularly those relevant to the oil and gas industry.
- Ensure that all transport and logistics processes adhere to company standards, health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Liaise with local and international suppliers, negotiating terms and managing relationships to ensure quality service and delivery.
- Evaluate supplier performance, track delivery times, and manage the resolution of any disputes or issues that arise.
- Assist in identifying and onboarding new suppliers or logistics service providers when required.
- Monitor logistics budgets and track transportation and supply chain costs, identifying opportunities to reduce expenses while maintaining efficiency.
- Collaborate with the local Logistics Manager and HQ management to develop cost-saving initiatives and strategies for optimizing the supply chain.
- Prepare and present regular reports on logistics activities, inventory status, and supply chain performance to both the local Logistics Manager and the HQ management.
- Communicate with project teams, suppliers, and vendors to provide updates on the status of shipments and deliveries.
- Proactively identify and address potential logistics challenges, working with the local team to troubleshoot any disruptions in the supply chain.
- Work closely with the procurement, operations, and finance teams to ensure all logistics activities are aligned with project requirements and budgets.
- To maintain a good knowledge of IT programmes used within the COMPANY.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding the functions of other COMPANY departments.
- Be knowledgeable of COMPANY safety policies and procedures that pertain to this area of responsibility.
- Participate in external and/or internal meetings as necessary.
- Must represent the COMPANY in a professional manner both on and off the job, this includes confidentiality of COMPANY and client business.
- Perform any other duties as directed by the management.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- At least 3 - 4 years of experience in logistics, preferably in the oil and gas industry or a similar field.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
- Self-motivated, pro-active, committed, and flexible with strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-national and multi-cultural work environment.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Must be fully committed to safety.
- Must be able to perform all duties, tasks, and key responsibilities safely.
- Must be able to comply with COMPANY procedures.
- Must have good management qualities and ability to cooperate with the team.
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with logistics software.
- Knowledge of local and international customs regulations, especially those relevant to the oil and gas industry, is highly advantageous.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM5, RM5,500.00 per month
