Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Implement and monitor the company's Safety Management Plan and site-specific safety procedures.
  • Organize and lead toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and training sessions for site staff and subcontractors.
  • Enforce the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and monitor compliance on-site.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and safety-related documentation.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure safety requirements are incorporated into work plans and activities.
  • Ensure all safety signage, emergency equipment, and traffic management measures are properly maintained and visible.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture by encouraging hazard reporting and suggestions for improvement.
  • Stay updated on local safety laws, regulations, and best practices relevant to the construction/engineering industry.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Certification in Safety and Health Officer (e.g., SHO by DOSH) or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in construction, engineering, or telecommunications.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment, and hazard control measures.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with teams and contractors.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to safety management.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM3, RM4,000.00 per month
