About the role

We are seeking a motivated Audit Associate to join our dynamic team at J. K. Tan & CO. As a key member of our Audit department, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality audit services to our diverse client base. This full-time position is based at Taman Setia Tropika in Johor Bahru, Johor, and offers excellent opportunities for professional development and growth within the company.

What you'll be doing

  • Participating in the planning, execution and reporting of financial audits for a range of clients across different industries
  • Conducting detailed data analysis, risk assessments and substantive testing procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information
  • Identifying and evaluating internal control weaknesses, and providing recommendations for improvements
  • Preparing clear and concise audit reports, working papers and other documentation
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional client service
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, regulations and industry best practices
  • Knowledge on Malaysian tax laws & regulations

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, professional certificate
  • 1-3 years of experience in external audit, preferably in a public accounting firm
  • FRESH graduates are encourage to apply.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and identify key issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members
  • Proficient in the use of audit software and data analysis tools
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work as part of a team
