Job Title: Commissioning Engineer (Electrical & Instrumentation)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer (E&I) to support testing, commissioning, and start-up activities for electrical and instrumentation systems. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring systems are installed, tested, and commissioned safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out testing and commissioning activities for Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) systems in accordance with approved procedures, drawings, and specifications.
  • Perform pre-commissioning checks and inspections to ensure readiness prior to system start-up.
  • Participate in start-up and commissioning activities, including functional testing and system integration.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and rectification of E&I issues during commissioning and operational phases.
  • Support and perform genset load testing (where applicable) and ensure test results are properly recorded.
  • Ensure all commissioning works are executed in compliance with safety regulations, especially when working on or near live equipment.
  • Prepare commissioning reports, test records, and as-built documentation.
  • Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and site personnel to resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Work under pressure to meet project deadlines while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Electrical & Instrumentation testing and commissioning works.
  • Hands-on experience in E&I commissioning, including pre-start-up inspections.
  • Experience in genset load testing is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of safety requirements when working with live electrical equipment.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot E&I issues quickly and effectively.
  • Able to work independently and perform well under pressure in site-based environments.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Contract length: 15 months

Pay: RM2, RM9,328.14 per month
