About the role

We are a material handling manufacturer company based in Puchong, Selangor and we are urgently seeking a skilled Design Draughtsman to join our team. This full-time position is crucial in supporting our engineering operations and driving innovative design solutions.

What you'll be doing

  • Producing detailed engineering drawings for material handling system using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Prepare general arrangement drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and bill of materials (BOM)
  • Revise and update existing drawings based on the design changes, site measurements, and/or feedback from the user
  • Interpreting design specifications and technical requirements to create accurate, high-quality drawings
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to refine and optimise design concepts
  • Ensuring design documentation adheres to relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Providing technical support and advice to cross-functional teams
  • Maintaining and updating design archives and documentation

What we're looking for

  • Relevant diploma or degree in mechanicial engineering, drafting or a related field
  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience as a Design Draughtsman in the engineering industry
  • Proficient in using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Solidworks is an advantage
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, industry standards, and best practices
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documents
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate technical information effectively
