About the role

We are seeking an experienced Section Manager to join our dynamic retail team at Kim Teck Cheong Group Of Companies' in Miri, Sarawak. As a Section Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of your assigned section, ensuring efficient inventory management, driving sales, and providing exceptional customer service.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage and coordinate the activities of your assigned section, including supervising a team of sales associates
  2. Analyse sales data and trends to identify growth opportunities and implement effective merchandising strategies
  3. Ensure accurate inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining optimal stock levels
  4. Monitor and report on key performance metrics, such as sales targets, customer satisfaction, and inventory turnover
  5. Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner
  6. Collaborate with the buying team to provide feedback on product performance and identify new opportunities
  7. Assist in the implementation of marketing campaigns and promotions to drive sales
  8. Foster a positive and productive work environment for your team

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a retail management or supervisory role, preferably in the consumer products industry
  2. Strong understanding of inventory management, merchandising, and sales techniques
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
  4. Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to use relevant software tools
  5. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and implementing successful retail strategies
  6. Customer-centric mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
  7. Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment
