Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of industrial projects, focusing on MEP systems, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets and quality standards;
  • Organize, coordinate and motivate a team of at least 100 staff members, including managers, engineers, supervisors and support staff, to ensure efficient project execution;
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships, addressing concerns and providing regular updates to ensure client satisfaction;
  • Collaborate closely with project consultants, architects, engineers and industry experts, to ensure project requirements are met and design specifications are followed;
  • Oversee and manage contractors, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements, safety regulations and quality standards;
  • Identify potential risks and challenges, develop mitigation strategies and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions;
  • Monitor project budgets, track expenses and implement cost control measures to ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints;
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance processes, ensuring the highest standards of workmanship and compliance with industry regulations;
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety awareness and adherence to best practices on-site;
  • Prepare regular progress reports, financial reports and project documentation for stakeholders, providing accurate and timely updates on project status, milestones and key performance indicators.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical/ HVAC/ Mechatronics/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or equivalent are highly desirable;
  • At least 15 years working experience in project management within engineering and construction, with a focus on MEP systems for industrial projects;
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry is advantageous:
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects valued at RM500 million and above;
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team;
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities;
  • Able to prioritize and work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines;
