Position Overview

The Project Operations Manager will lead and oversee all aspects of project operations, including project execution, engineering, procurement, logistics, and order management. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.

The incumbent will also be responsible for developing, standardizing, and continuously improving operational processes, systems, and tools by adopting industry best practices to enhance overall performance and operational excellence across Swift Energy's project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Operations Leadership

  • Lead and oversee the end-to-end execution of projects — from planning and engineering to procurement, logistics, and delivery.
  • Ensure project milestones, timelines, and budgets are met while maintaining quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate and align cross-functional teams to achieve seamless project execution.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and performance indicators to the CEO.

2. Process & Systems Improvement

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for project management and operations.
  • Introduce and adopt industry best practices, tools, and methodologies to drive operational excellence.
  • Optimize workflows across engineering, procurement, logistics, and order management functions.
  • Champion the use of digital tools and data-driven decision-making to enhance efficiency and transparency.

3. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams within the Project Operations division.
  • Build a high-performance culture emphasizing accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to team members.

4. Coordination & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including Finance, HR, HSE, and Commercial teams to support project and business objectives.
  • Manage relationships with key clients, vendors, and partners to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.
  • Participate in strategic planning, business reviews, and operational meetings with senior management.

5. Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure all operations comply with relevant HSE standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture within all project teams.
  • Oversee implementation of quality assurance and control procedures across all project stages.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum 8–12 years of experience in project operations or project management within the energy, engineering, or industrial sectors.
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams in complex, large-scale projects.
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, procurement processes, and logistics coordination.
