Job Highlights

• Involved in
  CAD drafting
  for
  structured cabling, fiber optic, and Extra Low Voltage (ELV)
  systems including schematic design, design development, design coordination, submission documentation, and tender documentation.
• Prepare
  complete sets of shop drawings
  and
  as-built drawings
  for ICT, ELV, and cabling installations, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Work closely with
  Engineers, Project Managers, and Site Teams
  to determine project requirements and functional layouts.
• Develop
  cable routing layouts, fiber termination details, rack elevations, and device layouts
  (e.g., CCTV, access control, and communication points).
• Revise and update drawings to accommodate design changes or site conditions while maintaining accurate revision logs.
• Assist in the preparation of
  submission and certification drawings
  , including
  testing and commissioning documentation
  (e.g., OTDR, OLTS test points).
• Ensure drafting accuracy and compliance with
  industry standards
  (TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC, MS/BS standards) and
  local building codes
  .
• Support the Design & Engineering team in preparing
  technical documentation, equipment schedules, and design reports
  .
• Conduct
  site surveys
  when required to verify as-built conditions and coordinate design implementation.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork in managing multiple concurrent projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed
  AutoCAD drawings
  for structured cabling, fiber optic, ELV, and ICT infrastructure systems.
• Coordinate drawings between
  architectural, mechanical, electrical, and ICT
  disciplines to ensure design consistency.
• Maintain and update
  drawing registers, revision control, and drawing archives
  .
• Prepare
  fabrication and isometric layouts
  for cable trays, conduits, and fiber pathways when required.
• Liaise with suppliers or vendors for product drawings and specifications as part of the design documentation process.
• Assist in preparing
  documentation for project handover
  , including "as-built" and warranty drawings.
• Perform other drafting or engineering support tasks as directed by the
  Design & Engineering Manager
  .

Requirements

• Degree, Diploma, or Certificate
  in
  Drafting, Engineering, or related technical discipline
  from a recognized institution.
• Minimum
  two (2) years of relevant experience
  as a
  Drafter
  , preferably in ICT, ELV, or engineering project environments.
• Proficient in AutoCAD
  ; experience with other drafting tools (e.g., Revit, SolidWorks, or Visio) is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of
  structured cabling systems
  ,
  fiber optic networks
  ,
  ELV systems
  , and
  cable management
  principles.
• Ability to
  read and interpret technical drawings, layouts, and site sketches
  accurately.
• Strong
  communication and interpersonal skills
  , both written and verbal, in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Proficient in
  Microsoft Office
  (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Self-motivated, proactive
  , and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  accuracy, documentation quality, and teamwork
  .
