Ready Steady Go Kids is Australia's leading multi-sport program for children aged 1.5-7 years. We currently run classes at over 1000 locations across Australia and many more internationally. Our physio-designed program teaches children the fundamentals of 10 different sports and develops essential motor skills in a fun, non-competitive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Coordination & Management:

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and executing sports events, tournaments, and activities.
  • Oversee logistics for events, including scheduling, transportation, venue setup, and staffing.
  • Liaise with vendors, sponsors, and partners to ensure all event requirements are met.
  • Manage registration processes for participants, teams, and volunteers.
  • Coordinate with referees, judges, or officials to ensure smooth event operations.
  • Operational Support:
  • Provide day-to-day operational support for the sports department.
  • Ensure that all equipment and facilities are properly maintained and ready for use.
  • Manage sports inventory, including uniforms, gear, and other necessary materials.
  • Track and manage budgets for events and programs, ensuring cost-efficiency.
  • Athlete & Team Coordination:
  • Communicate with athletes, coaches, and team managers regarding schedules, venue information, and any changes.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between all team members and stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing athlete registrations and ensuring compliance with event rules and regulations.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of events, programs, and other operational activities.
  • Create post-event reports, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for events and activities.
  • Marketing and Promotion Support:
  • Assist in promoting sports events and programs through various channels (social media, email marketing, etc.).
  • Support the creation of promotional materials such as flyers, posters, and digital content.
  • Help execute promotional campaigns and activities to boost attendance and participation.
  • Customer Service:
  • Provide excellent customer service to athletes, teams, sponsors, and participants.
  • Address inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise before, during, and after events.
  • Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and promote a customer-centric environment.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork:
  • Work closely with other departments (marketing, sales, finance, etc.) to ensure smooth execution of events and programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve departmental goals.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to brainstorming and strategic planning.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Additional certifications in event management, coaching, or sports operations are a plus.
  • Experience:
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in physio, sports operations, event management, or a related role.
  • Previous experience working with athletes, teams, or sports organizations is beneficial.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with event management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms for promotion and communication.
  • Core Competencies:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of sports regulations and event planning processes.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

  • This role may require occasional evening or weekend work, especially during sports events or tournaments.
  • Some travel may be required for events or operational support.
  • On-site presence will be necessary for event setups and coordination.
