Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager in supervising the M&E works.
  • To assist Project Manager and contractor and ensure compliance to all project schedule and budgets and evaluate all associated equipment and workforce to meet all design requirements.
  • To assist Project Manager to provide an interface with design group and resolve all issues of contractor, evaluate and prepare reports.
  • Inspect and monitor the progress and quality of M&E works on construction sites to ensure compliance with contract specifications, drawings, and relevant codes and standards
  • Maintain detailed records of site inspections, test results, and other relevant documentation
  • To monitor and implement all safety program for projects and for assign areas.
  • To submit weekly report to the Project Manager.
  • To obtain own timesheet approval from the client's Site Representative.
  • Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to address any issues or non-conformities and ensure timely rectification

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Inspector of Works or similar role in the construction industry, with a focus on M&E works
  • Min Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent
  • Have BEM Registered - Inspector of Works (IOW)
  • Thorough understanding of construction processes, codes, and regulations related to M&E systems
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and other construction documents
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the successful delivery of projects
