Job description:

This position is to focus on merchandising and distribution operations related to Intellectual property (IP) products.

In other words, the role will involve planning, sourcing, and developing sales strategies for products utilizing various IPs such as anime, games, and characters.

-Negotiation and contract management with Japanese and overseas licensors

-Manage agreements related to the use of anime and character IPs

-Procurement and product planning for IP-related merchandise

-Examples: anime, manga, and game-related goods, figures, and lifestyle items

-Decide which products to distribute in which countries and stores

-Develop and manage distribution strategies

-Optimize sales channels for IP products (retail, online, and event-based)

-Plan and execute events and promotional campaigns

-Product launch events, collaboration cafes, etc.

-Conduct market and consumer analysis

-Research otaku culture and fan trends in Malaysia and the ASEAN region

-Coordinate with suppliers and partner companies

■MUST HAVE:

  • At least 5 years of working experience in the IP industry

    (Especially in anime, games, character goods, or license management)
  • Experience in merchandising or distribution operations

    (Involving sourcing, product planning, or building sales channels)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

■ADVANTAGE TO HAVE (Not a Must):

  • Experience of Hands-on involvement in game, hobby, or IP merchandise procurement/sales
  • Experience in event or promotional campaign planning

    (Such as character events or fan engagement campaigns)
  • Japanese (Have will be a big plus point)

■Interview Procedure:

1st Interview: MD + Manager (Virtual, 30 mins)

2nd assessment: Kraepelin psycho-diagnostic test (F2F, 45 mins)

3rd Interview: Japan CEO mins)

Working hour: Monday to Friday 9:30am-6:15pm
