Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Account Executive who can handle full set of accounts and ensure that all statutory and tax compliance in Malaysia are fully adhered to. The ideal candidate must be independent, detail-oriented, and well-versed with Malaysian accounting standards, company tax requirements, and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities1. Full Set of Accounts

  • Handle full set of accounts (AR, AP, GL) including monthly closing, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow, and financial analysis.
  • Maintain proper accounting records in accordance with MFRS and company policies.
  • Monitor and manage company's overall financial health including budgeting and forecasting.

2. Taxation & Compliance

  • Prepare and submit all tax-related documents including corporate tax, SST (if applicable), withholding tax, and annual tax filings.
  • Liaise with LHDN, SSM, DBKL, and other regulatory bodies for tax matters, licensing, and statutory compliance.
  • Ensure timely compliance with all statutory deadlines.
  • Advise the company on tax planning, tax efficiency, and any compliance risks.
  • Ensure payroll tax (PCB), EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and HRD contributions are accurate and submitted on time.

3. Audit & Reporting

  • Prepare audit schedules and liaise with internal/external auditors.
  • Ensure financial statements comply with statutory requirements.
  • Implement and improve accounting SOPs for better internal control and compliance.

4. Company Compliance & Licensing

  • Ensure company maintains valid SSM registration, business licences (PBT/DBKL), premise licence, and signboard licence.
  • Track and renew all company registrations and regulatory documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with bTaskee's internal policies including confidentiality and data security.

5. Support to Management

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for decision-making.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports for Vietnam HQ, investors, and board meetings.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience handling full set accounts; experience in service/tech company is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax laws, SST, and statutory regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL, Autocount, Xero, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High integrity, strong attention to detail, and excellent time management.

  • Experience working with multinational or regional teams.
  • Familiarity with compliance matters (SSM, DBKL, SOCSO audits, tax audits).
  • Able to start immediately or within short notice.
