About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Account Executive to join our dynamic team at WPA Partners Sdn Bhd. In this full-time position based in Kuala Lumpur, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' financial accounting and reporting needs. As a Senior Account Executive, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, strategic, and cost-effective accounting services to our diverse portfolio of clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain full set of accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and month-end closing for audit and tax purposes.
  • Ensure accurate preparation of financial statements and reports for audit and taxation purpose - monthly, quarterly and annually.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting and monitoring of actual performance vs budget.
  • Project accounting - including progress billing, cost tracking and loan drawdowns.
  • Prepare and submit SST & E-Invoice in compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents ,company secretary and regulatory authorities as required.
  • Perform cost computation and assist in budgeting/forecasting exercise.
  • Assist in preparing consolidation and financial analysis for Group's half and yearly reporting purpose.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filling of financial records.
  • Support management with ad-hoc financial analysis and reports.
  • Undertake any other accounting or finance-related tasks as assigned by management.
  • Responsible in handling a set of management account, budget and cash flow forecasts.
  • Ensure accounting records are compliant with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Provide support to operation team in day-to-day finance related matters.

Job Requirement

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting or financial reporting role, preferably within a professional services or consulting environment
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, with a solid understanding of financial reporting standards and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide valuable insights
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software (SQL) and Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clients
  • Highly motivated, self-disciplined and responsible individual with a positive working attitude.
  • A recognized professional accounting qualification, such as LCCI, Diploma or Degree in accounting, Finance, Banking or related field is highly desirable
