About the Role

You'll be assisting in the translation of UI/UX designs into responsive, high-quality HTML/CSS (and possibly some JavaScript) code, working closely with designers and developers. You'll help implement UI / UX workflows, contribute to user-friendly interface design, and ensure the final product is polished across devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert UI/UX mock-ups (from tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch) into clean, semantic HTML and CSS (and optionally JS)
  • Ensure responsive design (desktop, tablet, mobile) and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Work with designers and back-end/front-end developers to integrate UI components into the product.
  • Participate in user experience discussions: usability, layout, navigation, interaction.
  • Maintain style guides, UI asset libraries, and design consistency.
  • Assist with quality assurance: check that UI matches design, fix layout bugs, optimize performance (loading time, responsiveness).
  • Keep up-to-date with web design and front-end coding best practices and trends.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Multimedia / Web Design / Computer Science / Information Technology / related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Basic to moderate experience in HTML5, CSS3; understanding of responsive web design and media queries.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX principles: user-centred design, wireframing, prototyping.
  • Comfortable working with design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD/Illustrator/Photoshop).
  • Good communication skills (English / Malay) and ability to collaborate in a team.
  • Self-motivation, willingness to learn, attention to detail.

Preferred / Additional:

  • Basic JavaScript knowledge (ES6+), or frameworks (e.g., React, Vue) is a plus.
  • Experience with CSS preprocessors (SASS/LESS).
  • Exposure to version control (e.g., Git).
  • Knowledge of UI design tools and graphics editing (Illustrator/Photoshop) for UI assets.
  • Portfolio showing UI/UX design + front-end implementation work.
