Why does this job exist and why is it critical?
Head of Government Engagement & Sustainability, a senior leadership role that involves developing and maintaining relationships with government stakeholders, promoting sustainability initiatives, and driving business growth. The ideal candidate should have an advanced degree and 10+ years of experience in government engagement or sustainability, with strong leadership and strategic thinking skills. What are you accountable for?
Government Engagement

  • Develop and maintain relationships with government officials, agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for collaboration, partnerships, and business growth.
  • Represent the company in government forums, conferences, and other relevant events.

Sustainability

  • Develop and implement sustainability strategies and initiatives that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize sustainability opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on sustainability performance and progress.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainability and government engagement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and industry partners.

Strategy Development

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize business opportunities.

What do you need to have for the role?

  • Advanced degree (Master's or higher) in a relevant field (e.g., business, politics, environmental science).
  • 10+ years of experience in government engagement, sustainability, or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
