**This is a 6 month contract based in Kuala Lumpur. Applicants must have experience in project delivery for Agency and Bancassurance distribution channels within insurance industry. Proficiency in Cantonese / Mandarin is an advantage.

Project Overview

Our client, a global IT consulting firm, is working with a leading multinational insurer, on large-scale Agency Transformation programme across its distribution channels, including Agency and Bancassurance. The initiative aims to modernize sales models, improve productivity, and strengthen business alignment between distribution and delivery functions.

The Agency Transformation Lead will play a pivotal role in driving and managing transformation initiatives, engaging directly with senior business stakeholders, and ensuring successful execution across multiple workstreams in collaboration with the Hong Kong-based transformation and delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead transformation initiatives focused on Agency and Bancassurance distribution channels, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Work closely with the Hong Kong Transformation Lead and business heads to define priorities, track progress, and ensure accountability.
  • Oversee the delivery team through the Delivery Manager (Transformation), providing direction, removing roadblocks, and ensuring delivery excellence.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for business stakeholders, holding them accountable for transformation outcomes.
  • Facilitate alignment between business operations, transformation office, and delivery teams to maintain program momentum.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across business and technical teams, including C-level executives.
  • Drive governance processes, steering committee updates, and performance tracking to ensure program visibility and success.

Ideal Profile

  • Experience: 10+ years in Transformation, Programme Management, or Distribution Strategy within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Domain Expertise:
  • Strong understanding of Agency Distribution Models and Bancassurance operations.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale transformation initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Language: Fluent Cantonese (advantage) and English (essential).
