Job Summary:

The BIM Modeller is responsible for developing and maintaining Building Information Models (BIM) in accordance with project requirements, standards, and workflows. The role involves creating accurate 3D models and related documentation to support the planning, coordination, and execution of construction or infrastructure projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Model Development & Documentation

  2. Create, update, and maintain accurate 3D models using BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).

  3. Generate 2D drawings, schedules, and documentation derived from BIM models.
  4. Ensure models comply with company and project BIM standards and Level of Detail (LOD) requirements.

  5. Coordination & Collaboration

  6. Work closely with architects, engineers, and project teams to ensure accurate integration of design disciplines.

  7. Participate in design coordination meetings and resolve clashes or design inconsistencies using BIM tools.
  8. Collaborate with the BIM Coordinator to maintain a structured file and model management system.

  9. Quality Control

  10. Conduct regular model checks and clash detections.

  11. Review models to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.
  12. Support the implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BEP).

  13. Project Support

  14. Provide BIM-related technical support during design, tender, and construction stages.

  15. Assist in producing visuals, renderings, and quantity take-offs when required.
  16. Support project documentation and revision management in coordination with the team.

  17. Continuous Improvement

  18. Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies, software updates, and best practices.

  19. Provide input for improving company BIM standards and workflows.
  20. Assist in training and mentoring junior staff on BIM tools and procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficient in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in BIM modelling for building or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and coordination between disciplines.
  • Knowledge of BIM standards and model management procedures.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Skills (Optional):
  • Experience with Civil 3D, InfraWorks, or Tekla Structures.
  • Familiarity with BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar collaboration platforms.
  • Basic understanding of programming or automation (e.g., Dynamo, Python for Revit) is an advantage.
  • Visualization and rendering skills (e.g., Enscape, Lumion, Twinmotion).
