We are currently looking for experienced Assistant Financial Controller to join our Petaling Jaya Plaza 33 office. You will be responsible for the performance of the finance team supporting the relevant Hub Financial Controller for their Business Unit and Markets by delivering right first-time reporting and analysis which is insightful, fast and supports the business to develop accurate plans in a strong controls and assurance environment. The role helps to deliver the Finance vision of a "world class finance function recognized by industry, the profession and our people" which underpins the Haleon vision.

Other Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the reporting of financial results for their market and business unit with commentary including income, balance sheet and cash flow which is accurate, complete and:
  • Fully compliant with all relevant accounting standards, current best practice and any other regulations
  • Consistently applies accounting policies which are appropriate to the current business environment
  • Tightly controls transaction activity that operates in line with global processes and incorporates best practice financial controls
  • Delivers insight to the Division in key areas of risk, growth and performance making recommendations for continuous improvements and remedial action as required
• Sign off of statutory results with in-market FD when supporting a senior FD. This will also require co-ordination of activities across the other business units (ie Cx & GMS)
• Analysis and interpretation of Divisional results and ensures that there are no surprises
• Review financial information against historical run rates and future growth plans
• Owns the Market balance sheets including approval of reconciliations
• Review of accounting papers
• Supports and is responsible for the inputs to the external and internal financial audits for their Division
• Co-ordinate the month end review process, OE reporting requirements, facilitating month end meetings, co-ordinating with in-country finance board, maintaining risk register & co-ordinating with all external partners
• Comparing monthly results & variance analysis
• Proficient financial knowledge of analysis with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Ideally, we are looking for someone with:

• Bachelor's degree or Qualified accountant

• Extensive post qualification experience, preferably within a similar operating model and the same sector

• Assistant Finance Controller experience
