The objective of a global admissions team is in line with Curtin's global strategy in pursuit of a cohesive approach.

Your new role:

The Global Admission Officer supports the international admissions process by assessing international applications to Curtin University, including Curtin English. The incumbent manages these applications through the offer-to-admission process and provides information to applicants, escalating complex inquiries as necessary.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Assess international admissions applications in accordance with University entry guidelines, generate letters of offer for qualified applicants on Student One, and ensure turnaround times are in line with Admissions KPIs.
  • Process student acceptances according to the procedure, confirm entry requirements, verify payment of tuition fees and Overseas Student Health Cover and create Confirmation of Enrolment letters for the purpose of obtaining a student visa.
  • Provide advice and assistance to prospective and enrolled international students, Curtin recruitment agents, and Recruitment Service Providers on admission procedures and entry requirements.
  • Provide information on alternative pathway options for applicants who do not automatically qualify for admission to their preferred course, and respond to qualification queries in accordance with University policy and National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition(NOOSR) guidelines.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree qualification and significant experience in a related area.
  • Relevant experience in customer service delivery and a personal commitment to continually achieve a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated accuracy in data entry and information retrieval, along with excellent computer skills, utilising a variety of software programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow procedure, provide factual advice to others and organise time and work activities according to priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently with general direction.
  • Demonstrated good oral communication skills with the ability to liaise with a diverse range of people in a clear and professional manner, with cross-cultural sensitivity.
  • Experience in the higher education sector is desirable.
