About the role

We are seeking an Analyst Programmer to join our team at ER GEMtrack Sdn Bhd in our Bayan Lepas, Penang office. This full-time position will play a key role in the development and maintenance of our proprietary software applications.

What you'll be doing

  1. Analysing business requirements and translating them into technical specifications
  2. Designing, coding, testing and debugging software applications
  3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure software solutions meet user needs
  4. Documenting code, processes and procedures to support ongoing maintenance and enhancements
  5. Providing technical support and training to end-users
  6. Continuously improving existing software systems and identifying opportunities for automation

What we're looking for

  1. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience as an Analyst Programmer or in a similar software development role
  3. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python
  4. Experience with relational databases and SQL
  5. Good understanding of software development life cycle methodologies
  6. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
