JOB DESCRIPTION

  1. Assists Department Head in Purchasing functions and general administrative actions.

  2. To forecast, plan, execute, oversee, and control the purchasing operations in compliance with company policies and procedures.

  3. Oversee all purchasing projects, from planning and initiation to execution and closure.

  4. Confirming material requirements and inventory adjustment when necessary.

  5. Supports Logistic department in Warehouse Management by monitoring suppliers' delivery performance.

  6. To supervise and manage a team of subordinates, including setting performance goals, and providing feedback.

  7. Delegate tasks and projects effectively to ensure timely and successful completion.

  8. Monitors Just-In-Time delivery.

  9. Supports and monitors in new model development and modification requests.

  10. To lead in supplier audit and participate in assessment of suppliers.

  11. Concluding quality and receiving issues with relevant parties.

  12. Assist in physical inventory activity.

  13. Verification of reports.

  14. To perform additional responsibilities as and when instructed by superior.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

  1. Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree or above in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  1. Candidates with minimum 3 years of working experiences in Procurement/Purchasing field is required for this position.

  2. Proven experience in an executive role, preferably within the manufacturing industry (Electrical and Electronics) will be prioritized.

3. Has a good understanding of MRP forecasting system and material planning.

  1. Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

  2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and able to communicate with all level of employees.

  3. Good leadership, negotiation and presentation skills.

  4. Must be computer literate especially in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  5. Knowledge in ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 will be an added advantage.

  6. Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

  7. Resourceful and meticulous.

  8. Possess own transport and willing to travel.

  9. Applicants should be Malaysian citizens and must be willing to work in Johor Bahru, Johor.
