Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer

Our Production Quality team is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to strengthen supplier performance and ensure consistent material quality across our operations. This role focuses on monitoring and evaluating supplier processes, supporting incoming quality activities, and driving continuous improvement through structured problem-solving and quality engineering practices. The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer is primarily responsible for supplier development, PCBA and component quality assurance, and alignment with relevant Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.

1. Responsible for handling quality defects of materials caused by the quality of materials-related issues.
2. Quality problems and timely feedback to the supplier's quality window.
3. SQE Preliminary failure analysis of materials to assist suppliers to detect root causes and background data collection.
4. Responsible for tracking the progress of supplier's management and improvement.
5. Responsible for tracking supplier's improvement report and review and feasibility.
6. Responsible confirm supplier's improving results.
7. Supplier audits QPA/QSA and counseling when necessary.
8. Assist buyers to do System, PCBA and material quality/technical support.
9. Support IQC operation and management, Material specification confirmation.
10. Quality reports and KPI performance review, and CIP.
11. Customer quality assurance service and drives CAR/FA/8D report.

1. Extensive Supplier Quality Management (SQM) Experience: Possess preferably around 3 years of progressive experience in supplier quality management within computer manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, and/or Incoming Quality Control (IQC) materials inspection, with a demonstrated ability to support and contribute toward product quality and excellence.
2. Proficiency in Computer and Office Applications: Demonstrate advanced proficiency with personal computers (PC) and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite), including data analysis and report generation is an advantage skill.
3. Multilingual Communication Skills: Fluency in English and Malay is preferred, while proficiency in Chinese would be an added value, especially for communication with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
4. Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Familiarity with 8D analytical approaches to support root cause identification, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities would be beneficial in enhancing production quality.
5. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems: Exposure to or familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485 or other Quality Management Systems (QMS) is highly desirable to align with international quality practices.
6. Ability to Train and Mentor: Capability or willingness to guide or train junior technicians and share practical knowledge is advantageous in fostering a culture of quality and continuous learning.
7. International Standard Skills: Familiarity with or exposure to IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, Sampling Plans, ESD, and MSD handling is preferable.
8. Experience in System Assembly: Experience or exposure in L6 to L10 System Assembly and Testing would be an added advantage.
9. Professional skills in System Level Components:Knowledge of or exposure to CPU, Memory, HDS, GPU, Cable, PCBA materials, Plastic components, and Mechanical parts is beneficial for the role.
