Requirements:

You will be working as a functional admin in supporting the job scope as below:

  • Support trademark process through preparation of the related documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Providing pre-filing search analysis and advice on the registrability of trademarks.
  • Support trademark operation and process improvement (Application until Registration).
  • Track, analyze and report trademark and trademark operation-related matters.
  • Responsible in updating and monitoring the status of applications and liaising with the Malaysia Intellectual Property Office (MyIPO).
  • Assist in supporting any IP dispute matters including objection, opposition, or prosecution.
  • Able to learn drafting submissions and conducting research in support of the client's matter.
  • Managing the company's IP system and other automated systems/databases.
  • Working with external counsel in relation to the prosecution matter.
  • Attending to other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • This position is exposed to proprietary company information, so strict adherence to confidentiality policy and protocol is required.
  • Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail to spot errors and inconsistencies.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively and work in a team.
  • Required language(s)(speak and write): Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin (optional).
  • Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and able to use multiple web-based systems.
  • Possess a positive attitude, initiative, and motivation.
  • Minimum 1 year in administration area or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in trademark matters would be an added advantage.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply and training will be given.
  • Candidate must be able to work independently.
  • Able to travel for training purposes.
