Position Overview
As a Senior Cloud Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Tencent Cloud's network infrastructure. This role requires expertise in managing large-scale cloud networks, troubleshooting complex network issues, and optimizing performance. You will work on enhancing the scalability and reliability of our cloud services by leveraging your knowledge of network protocols, virtualization technologies, and automation tools. This position offers an opportunity to lead cutting-edge projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless cloud network operations.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and maintain Tencent Cloud's network, gateway, VPC, and load balancing platforms, continuously improving operational efficiency.
• Analyze and resolve complex network issues, developing methodologies to enhance team capabilities and increase network reliability.
• Utilize technical solutions and process improvements to elevate platform network availability.
• Identify and propose optimization solutions for inefficient business areas, driving the implementation of enhancements.
• Design and implement automated network operations, collaborating with other teams to develop and deploy automation tools.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computing or related majors.
• At least 5 years of relevant cloud networking experience, preferably with a public cloud major player.
• Proficiency in TCP/IP protocol and understanding of SDN technologies, with the ability to troubleshoot network issues in Linux virtualization environments.
• In-depth knowledge of mainstream network devices and protocols, including STP, OSPF, BGP, VXLAN, MPLS VPN, with experience in large-scale network planning and operations.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (KVM, Xen, Hyper-V, LXC) and practical troubleshooting experience.
• Expertise in load balancing technologies, including Layer 4/7 load balancing principles, with hands-on operational experience.
• Strong understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems, particularly in system performance troubleshooting.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (Shell, Python, Go), and skilled in using commands like awk, sed, grep, strace, tcpdump, gdb.
• Strong proficiency in both English and Chinese Mandarin to liaise with China-based stakeholders and manage internal and external tools and documentations.
• Preference for candidates with CCIE, JNCIE certifications, and experience in public or private cloud platform operations.
