Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled communicator and community builder to join our team as a Digital Community Executive. This role focuses on bringing people together, facilitating connections, and nurturing an engaged technology community.

The ideal candidate will have proven community management experience and, while not necessarily from a tech background, must be genuinely open to understanding the technology world. Your ability to communicate effectively, build relationships, and manage information is paramount to success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

Community Management & Engagement (Primary Focus)


•    Collaborate to develop and implement strategies to grow and engage our technology-focused online community

•    Foster meaningful connections between community members through thoughtful facilitation

•    Facilitate knowledge sharing within the community

•    Build strong relationships with key community members and stakeholders

Information Management & Communication


•    Able to consume, synthesise, and effectively communicate large volumes of relevant information

•    Stay current on industry trends by regularly reading news, reports, and articles

•    Create clear, compelling communications that distill complex topics into digestible formats

Event Coordination


•    Plan and execute engaging events focused on bringing community members together

•    Coordinate virtual and/or in-person tech meetups, demos, and activities

•    Manage event logistics, including scheduling, promotion, and follow-up

•    Create opportunities for meaningful interaction and knowledge exchange among participants

Qualifications


•    Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Communications, Journalism, Media, Public Relations, Event Management, or related field

•    Demonstrated track record of successfully bringing people together around common interests

•    Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new subject areas

Skills & Abilities


•    Proven experience in digital community management with demonstrated success in growing and engaging communities

•    Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)

•    Strong information processing abilities with demonstrated capacity to absorb, organize, and communicate information

•    Intermediate-level skills in video production and photography

Expected Minimum Years of Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in community engagement roles (tech/construction sector experience is a plus but not required)
