Responsibilities:
-Ensure all objectives, specifications and other requirements of clients and Company are met and adhered to
-Provide supervision and quality control to the geotechnical services provided specifically during drilling operations, soil sampling, specialist testing and onboard laboratory testing, and sample movement
-Liaise with surveyor onboard on correct position of location & water depth measurement.
-Liaise and keep client informed on project daily progress, preliminary field data, field reports and hazardous condition
-Report to Senior Geotechnical Engineer on daily progress, action plan, and other operational issues.
-Assist Senior Geotechnical Engineers in performing engineering analyses and preparation of site factual reports
-Responsible for safe delivery of all raw data (i.e. drilling logs, soil logs, CPT logs etc.) from site to the data center (Head Office)
-Assist in generating reports and reviewing onshore laboratory tests
-To perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner at all time in accordance to Company's QHSE policy; compliance to Integrated Management System (IMS) processes; adhere to Authorities requirement and other related Group policies, procedure and guidelines
-To perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior or to any senior position nominated by the Company from time to time.
Requirements:
-A Malaysian citizen
-Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
-At least 2-3 years experience as Geotechnical Engineer
-Have good inter-personal skills, independent judgments skills and able to work as a team
-Possesses in-depth technical knowledge and exposure both in geotechnical engineering analysis and fieldwork.
-Supervisory and leadership skills, able to work independently.
-Willing to work Offshore if required
