A.      Major Responsibilities

  • Understand Customer's packaging requirements and documented the requirements (Specification and Requirement)
  • Advise customer, sales and production personnel on material selection, design improvement and specification
  • Design packaging to meet agreed commercial and technical requirements. Designs must take 'mouldability' and other material fabrication into consideration
  • Fabricate, liaise with supplier for the sample and schedule. Conduct test and evaluate design/ prototype
  • Design shock jig for customer's new product shock test
  • Study customer product design and provide solution to improve packaging
  • Generate 2D drawings when customer approves design
  • Carry out electronic data exchange (file-transfer) through the internet to send / receive customer product and design file to/from customer
  • Generate drawing with adequate dimensioning for mould making
  • Generate die-cut tooling drawings for tool fabrication
  • Liaise with mould maker for die-cut toolings and ensure timeline for sample submissions are on time
  • Work closely with QA to ensure the design pass the requirements and specifications of customer
  • Work jointly with production process to continuously improve the design of foam and other material for better productivity (i.e better cycle time, reduced wastage/rejects ets.)
  • Visit customers and test centre on design matters when necessary
  • Ensure that all equipment (i.e Design Soft/Hardwares, test equipment etc..) is in good working order
  • Check drawing revision change on customer's portal and prepare a monthly summary repor

Job Requirement:

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial/Design Engineer or any related fields.
  • At least 1 years of working experience, however,Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Good Analytical Skill
  • Innovative, self-driven and results-oriented
  • Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
