Do you have a background in maritime structural engineering and experience in designing with AutoCAD, Solid Edge and SolidWorks? Join our team as a Structural Design Engineer, where you'll design offshore steel structures, such as seafastenings, grillages and bladeracks, used for offshore transport and installation.

  • As a Structural Design Engineer, you'll work on
    3D modelling and 2D drafting
    of steel structures for offshore operations. Working closely with our lead engineers, you'll design and analyse structures and constructions such as seafastenings, grillages and bladeracks for projects in renewables, decommissioning, and dredging. To succeed in this role, strong skills in AutoCAD, Solid Edge, SolidWorks and Rhino are essential, as these tools are used daily in our engineering work.

  • Vuyk Malaysia is a subsidiary of Vuyk Engineering Rotterdam (The Netherlands). As an engineer in our team, you will work closely with project teams in both the Netherlands and Malaysia, forming part of an internationally operating engineering office.

Tasks Structural Design Engineer (Offshore Steel Structures)

  • Create 3D models and 2D drawings of offshore steel structures using AutoCAD, Solid Edge, SolidWorks and Rhino
  • Develop functional designs for offshore structures such as seafastenings, grillages and bladeracks
  • Collaborate closely with the Temporary Steel Design team in the Netherlands
  • Ensure all designs comply with classification society and regulatory requirements

Your experience:

  • BSc in Maritime Engineering, Shipbuilding, Mechanical Engineering (or closely related field)
  • Experience with structural engineering, construction drawings and maritime operations
  • Solid understanding of classification society and regulatory requirements
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Rhino
  • Junior to mid-level experience, with a strong focus on CAD and 3D modelling
