We're looking for a highly skilled and strategic Google Data and AI Architect & Presales professional. This role serves as a key technical advisor and strategist, bridging the gap between business objectives, cutting-edge technology strategies (specifically Google Cloud Data & AI services), and operational capabilities. The successful candidate will drive digital transformation initiatives, lead technical discussions with customers, design robust solutions, and act as a subject matter expert in the Google Cloud ecosystem. Certification in Google Cloud is required.

Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

• Lead the design and architecture of scalable, high-performance data platforms and AI/ML solutions using the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services like BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Vertex AI, Looker, and Apigee.
• Ensure solutions align with business objectives, technical requirements, security standards, and best practices for data governance and MLOps.
• Develop technical roadmaps for data modernization and AI/digital transformation initiative especially GenAI and Agentic AI space.

Presales & Technical Consulting

• Act as the primary technical point of contact during the presales cycle, leading technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts (PoCs).
• Assess customer requirements and pain points, translating them into compelling, well-defined technical solutions and statements of work (SOWs).
• Collaborate closely with sales and business development teams to drive revenue and market penetration, contributing to proposal development and technical estimation.
• Provide strategic advice to clients on cloud adoption, data architecture, and AI strategy.
• Local Compliance & FinOps:
  • Well-versed with Malaysia's regulatory landscape for cloud, data sovereignty, and security (e.g., PDPA 2010, MAMPU, NCCP).
  • Proven experience implementing Cloud FinOps frameworks (Inform, Optimize, Operate) on Google Cloud, driving cost optimization and financial governance.

Strategy & Thought Leadership

• Serve as a Google Data and AI Subject Matter Expert (SME), staying current with GCP service updates, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal methodologies, best practices, and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure alignment between technology strategies and the organization's broader business and operational goals.

Qualifications

Required

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience: 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or AI/ML, with a significant focus on cloud solutions and presales activities.
• Google Cloud Expertise: Deep, demonstrable expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically in core Data & AI services (e.g., BigQuery, Dataflow, Vertex AI, Cloud Storage).
• Certification: Required certification in Google Cloud, such as Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer and/or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect/Machine Learning Engineer.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in data modeling, SQL, and programming languages (e.g., Python, Scala).
  • Experience with advanced analytics, machine learning workflows (MLOps), and data governance.
  • Proven ability to lead technical workshops and communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Desired (Good to Have)

• Azure Knowledge: Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services, particularly in data and AI (e.g., Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Machine Learning), is a significant plus.
• Consulting Experience: Previous experience in a consulting or professional services environment.
• Other Certifications: Additional cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure).
