  • Ensure the correct tools, parts and materials needed to complete the work required is available.
  • Ensure servicing & repair work in compliance with legal, company and manufacturing standards.
  • To ensure reactive maintenance work when required so that vehicles are roadworthy as soon as possible.
  • Identify any potential safety, compliance or performance issues when working on vehicles and communicate these to Ambient Distribution Centre transport team.
  • Coordinate on technical preparation of prime mover & trailer for PUSPAKOM inspection with service provider.
  • Fill out relevant paperwork to record work completed.
  • Verify and evaluate vendors service report.
  • Attending to roadside assistance with breakdown services provided by transport service provider.
  • Follow up with vendors with warranty repairs where applicable.
  • Conduct inspection through Prime Movers vendor on speed limit tampering for speed limit setting of 80 kilometers per hour in the truck settings.
  • Collaborate with the DC FMD manager on managing used spare parts in the VMU as per asset retirement process.
  • Ensure all vendors in the VMU are operating as per regulation on handling hazardous material according to the act by the Malaysian Department of Environment.
  • Ensure no accident caused through faulty equipment.
  • Ensure all transport equipment's and vehicles are maintained and upgraded accordingly.
  • Have schedule maintenance in line with Ambient Distribution Centre compliance.
  • Ensure all Ambient Distribution Centre prime movers & trailers is safe for colleague and the public.
  • Have repair carried out on time and within budget and negotiation done in line with Ambient Distribution Centre policies and procedures.
  • Manage to maximize the utilization of all Ambient Distribution Centre transport.
  • Manage problem solving queries related to Ambient Distribution Centre transport service.
  • Manage all government related requirement pertaining Ambient Distribution Centre transport fleet  i.e. inspection, permits, road tax, insurance & claims, including accidents matters related with relevant authorities.
  • Support the ADC Leadership Team by building capability and striving towards continuous improvements in transport service.
  • Responsible to achieve transport key performance indicators.
  • Ensure continuous improvement that measure across the Ambient Distribution Centre Transport KPI'
  • Manage all prime movers and trailers service provider with monthly and quarterly scheduled meeting.
  • Strive to provide a first-class service to stores through excellent transport service.
  • Provide weekly update on fleet repair and maintenance schedule to Ambient Distribution Centre General Manager.
  • Monitor driver driving behaviour & compliance, i.e. speed limit non-compliance, harsh breaks, driver compounds and summons etc.
  • Report to Transport Manager on driver non-compliance impacting prime mover & trailer off road for further action.
  • Manage Ambient Distribution Centre transport schedule maintenance & repair within agreed budget and timeline.
