The Marketing & Partnership Associate plays a vital role in strengthening the hiring organisation's visibility, engagement, and collaborations with its members, corporate partners, and wider ecosystem stakeholders. This position supports the development and implementation of marketing strategies, manages communications across platforms, and drives partnership initiatives that advance the association's mission of enabling business growth and innovation.

1. Marketing & Communications

  • Develop and execute marketing and communications plans for the association's programmes, initiatives, and events.
  • Manage content creation and publishing across official channels — website, newsletters, social media, and press releases.
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns and event promotions, including digital marketing, paid ads, and member outreach.
  • Maintain consistent branding, messaging, and visual identity across all materials and platforms.
  • Prepare marketing collaterals such as brochures, event decks, and annual reports.

2. Partnership & Community Engagement

  • Support the development of strategic partnerships with corporates, government agencies, NGOs, and ecosystem players.
  • Assist in designing partnership proposals, sponsorship decks, and collaboration frameworks.
  • Maintain and update the partnership database, ensuring accurate tracking of commitments and deliverables.
  • Engage with members and partners through networking events, town halls, and online community channels.
  • Coordinate benefits delivery for partners and sponsors (e.g., logo placements, speaking slots, promotional materials).

3. Offline Event & Campaign Support

  • Support planning, coordination, and execution of conferences, forums, and workshops.
  • Manage event registration, on-site logistics, and partner visibility requirements.
  • Liaise with vendors, creative agencies, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of marketing materials.
  • Provide post-event reports including engagement analytics, media coverage, and partner feedback.

4. Research & Reporting

  • Track and analyse marketing performance metrics and partnership outcomes.
  • Prepare reports and updates for management and partners on engagement performance.
  • Conduct ecosystem mapping and research to identify emerging partnership opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in marketing, partnerships, or communications (experience with a business association, NGO, or startup ecosystem is a plus).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese proficiency an advantage).
  • Proficiency with social media platforms (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook), Canva, and basic digital marketing tools (Meta Ads, Mailchimp, etc.).
  • Experience in event coordination, stakeholder and sponsorship engagement preferred.
