About the role

We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join our dynamic team at Kumpulan Hamodal Sdn Bhd. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for creating innovative and functional interior designs for a range of commercial and residential projects. Based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

  1. Collaborating with clients to understand their design requirements and preferences
  2. Developing conceptual designs, space plans, and detailed drawings using CAD software
  3. Selecting and specifying materials, furnishings, and finishes that align with the project's aesthetic and budget
  4. Overseeing the implementation of design plans, coordinating with contractors and vendors
  5. Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality
  6. Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in interior design
  7. Providing excellent customer service and managing client relationships effectively
  8. Responsible for managing all design-related aspects- conceptual drawings, space planning, detail drawings, and presentation drawings.
  9. To manage project costing as well as the preparation of project quotations.
  10. Any other duties assigned by the company when required.

What we're looking for

  1. Degree in Interior Design or a related field
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial and/or residential interior design
  3. Proficient in using AutoCAD software and other design tools, such as SketchUp (Enscape), Graphics-related software (Adobe Photoshop/ Illustrator/ etc.)
  4. Strong understanding of building codes, materials, and construction practices
  5. Excellent visual and creative problem-solving skills
  6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  7. Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively liaise with clients and stakeholders
