About the role

MSR Design is seeking an experienced and talented Interior Designer to join our dynamic team in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. As a full-time Interior Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the design vision and aesthetic for a range of exciting commercial and residential projects. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of a well-established design firm.

What you'll be doing

  1. Collaborating with clients to understand their design requirements and translate them into innovative, functional and visually striking interior spaces
  2. Producing detailed design concepts, plans and 3D visualisations to bring your ideas to life
  3. Selecting and specifying high-quality materials, furniture, lighting and other interior products
  4. Managing procurement, installation and project delivery to ensure a seamless experience for clients
  5. Staying up-to-date with the latest design trends, technologies and industry best practices
  6. Mentoring and guiding more junior members of the design team

What we're looking for

  1. A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Interior Design or a related field
  2. Minimum 5 years' experience working as an Interior Designer, ideally within a commercial design practice
  3. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite
  4. Strong technical design skills, with the ability to translate concepts into detailed, feasible plans
  5. Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to present your ideas effectively
  6. A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating functional, beautiful interior spaces
  7. Familiarity with local building regulations and design standards
