Software Implementation Engineer – AIMS

Role Summary

Ankaa Consulting is seeking a proactive and technically strong Software Implementation Engineer to support the rollout of its alpha-phe Asset Integrity Management System (AIMS) and HSSE software modules for oil & gas and energy sector clients. This role focuses on the configuration, deployment, and user enablement of critical software modules such as Risk-Based Inspection (RBI), Barrier Management, Deviation Management, MOC, and HSSE KPI Dashboards.

You will play a key role in translating client operational requirements into software configurations, ensuring on-time delivery, user adoption, and system integrity. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in asset integrity or HSSE-related software implementations, familiarity with No-Code/Low-Code platforms, and a passion for improving asset reliability and safety through digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Configure and implement alpha-phe AIMS / HSSE software modules based on detailed client requirements and workflows.
2. Conduct gap assessments between existing client processes and software capabilities, providing optimal configuration strategies.
3. Translate functional specifications into system setup, configuration rules, and data structure mappings.
4. Work closely with SMEs, project engineers, and developers to support software customisation for integrity and safety-critical elements.
5. Participate in client workshops, site visits, and data collection to validate field conditions and asset hierarchies.
6. Develop functional design documents, implementation plans, and SOPs tailored to client-specific asset and safety processes.
7. Deliver user training sessions and prepare user manuals, walkthrough videos, and operational handbooks.
8. Support testing activities by preparing UAT scenarios and validating software outputs against integrity and safety KPIs.
9. Troubleshoot issues during deployment, configuration, and data migration.
10. Collaborate with client IT teams for system integration with platforms like SAP, Maximo, or BASSnet.
11. Maintain implementation documentation and ensure all deployments adhere to internal and client quality frameworks.
12. Provide Level 2 support during post-implementation stages and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 2–8 years of hands-on experience in software implementation, ideally involving asset integrity, maintenance, or HSSE software solutions.
• Familiarity with integrity management concepts such as RBI, SIMS, PIMS, Deviation, and MOC is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server); ability to use SQL for data preparation, upload, and validation.
• Capable of understanding plant asset hierarchies, safety-critical equipment, and process safety workflows.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills for client interaction and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum or hybrid implementation frameworks.

Preferred/Desirable Skills

• Experience implementing No-Code/Low-Code platforms for enterprise clients.
• Familiarity with industry software platforms like SAP PM, IBM Maximo, PIMS, or CMMS tools.
• Exposure to cloud deployments (e.g., Azure), REST APIs, and data migration utilities.
• Understanding of HSSE digital reporting dashboards and real-time safety monitoring is a plus.
• Prior implementation experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Utilities industry environments is advantageous.
