1. Plastic Injection Moulding Supervisor – Job Scope

Job Summary:

Oversees daily operations in the injection moulding department. Manages production schedules, leads the moulding team, ensures part quality, and troubleshoots process or machine issues to ensure smooth and safe production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily moulding production activities.
  • Lead, schedule, and train operators and technicians.
  • Plan and execute mold changeovers with minimal downtime.
  • Monitor machine cycle time, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot process problems (e.g., short shots, burn marks, flash).
  • Ensure molded parts meet dimensional and cosmetic quality standards.
  • Coordinate with QA and maintenance for support and improvements.
  • Enforce safety rules and maintain 5S standards on the production floor.
  • Maintain daily production records and shift reports.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Polymer Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of experience in plastic injection moulding with team leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of moulding parameters, materials, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiar with machines such as Toshiba, Haitian, Nissei, etc.

2. Plastic Injection Moulding Technician – Job Scope

Job Summary:

Performs setup, operation, and adjustment of injection moulding machines. Supports mold changes, process tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure product quality and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and start injection moulding machines based on job specifications.
  • Perform mold installation and removal with proper safety procedures.
  • Adjust machine settings to optimize part quality and reduce cycle time.
  • Inspect parts visually and with measuring tools (calipers, gauges, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot and correct basic machine or process problems.
  • Monitor material usage and ensure correct material is used.
  • Support preventive maintenance activities for machines and molds.
  • Record production data and report abnormalities to Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Technical Certificate/Diploma in related field.
  • 1–3 years of hands-on moulding experience.
  • Knowledge of plastic materials (ABS, PP, Nylon, PC, etc.).
