About the role

Bong, Tieh, Tiong & Kiu Advocates is seeking a Conveyancing Clerk to join our team in Kuching, Sarawak. As a Conveyancing Clerk, you will be responsible for providing efficient and accurate administrative support to our conveyancing practice, ensuring a seamless experience for our clients. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work alongside experienced legal professionals and contribute to the success of our firm.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and processing conveyancing documents, including sales and purchase agreements, land title transfers, and related paperwork
  • Conducting property searches and verifying ownership details
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, and government agencies to coordinate the completion of conveyancing transactions
  • Maintaining accurate records and filing systems for conveyancing matters
  • Providing administrative support to the conveyancing team, including scheduling appointments and managing client inquiries
  • Assisting with the preparation of property reports and other legal documents as required

What we're looking for

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in using legal software and office productivity tools
  • Knowledge of property law and conveyancing processes
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar conveyancing or legal administrative role
  • A diploma or degree in a relevant field, such as law or business administration
