About the Job

Lead Database Administrator in company plays a critical role in overseeing end to end management of large and diverse database environment supporting over 500 databases across multiple platforms including Oracle, ExaCC. Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, DB2 ,Yugabyte, MariaDB and on prem cloud based OCI. The role demands strong technical leadership, people management, strategic planning, stakeholder management and vendor coordination. To lead a team of DBAs, managing day to day database operations, planning enhancement to uplift performance, ensure compliance, safeguard the data by deploying relevant security measures to the core and supporting databases across the organization to achieve properly structured, optimally performing, stable, resilient and secure databases.

We are looking for people who

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer science, Information Technology or related fields
  • Minimum years of experience of hands-on database administration with at least 5 years in leadership role
  • Strong expertise in Database, mandatorily with Oracle 11g onwards, MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle ExaCC, OCI, OEM, EBS, IBM DB2
  • Postgres and Yugabytes will be an added advantage
  • Oracle Certification is preferred such as OCP as well as any other certification on databases
  • Proven track record in managing wide scale databases
  • Excellent troubleshooting, performance tuning and incident recovery skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong Stakeholder management skills
  • High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork
  • Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM10, RM20,000.00 per month
