About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site QAQC to join our team at SINOHYDRO CORPORATION (M) SDN BHD - KOTA KINABALU'. In this full-time position based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, you will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance and control processes on our construction sites, ensuring the highest standards are met.

What you'll be doing

  • Implementing and monitoring quality control procedures on construction sites
  • Conducting regular inspections and testing to verify the quality of materials, workmanship and finished products
  • Identifying and resolving quality issues in a timely manner
  • Providing guidance and training to site personnel on quality assurance best practices
  • Maintaining detailed records and documentation of quality control activities
  • Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure quality objectives are met
  • Staying up-to-date with industry standards, regulations and best practices in quality assurance

What we're looking for

  • Relevant degree or diploma in civil engineering, construction management or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Site QAQC or similar role in the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of quality control principles, practices and standards
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, specifications and regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Willingness to work on construction sites and adapt to changing project requirements
